Co-Founder
Donna Clayton
With Donna’s previous business admin expertise along with a keen eye for Interiors it was only natural that joining forces with Steve would make a dream team to provide a full service for their customers. Known as ‘the carpet lady’, Donna has a natural ability to help customers looking for just the right style and colour to complete their project whilst helping them with what might feel like an overwhelming amount of choice.
25 years later and their ethos of hard work, attention to detail whilst always offering a great service has been a winning and successful formula.

Steve Clayton
Steve served his full apprenticeship with a very high end carpet retailer and installers, having a natural born talent for the trade such that upon completion he was sought after by other retailers to join them. Building up his experience and knowledge fitting in some of the most prestigious homes in our area along with honing his craft especially for bespoke creations before venturing out on his own with Donna to create Hook Carpets.
Steve is well known within the fitting fraternity as ‘a machine’ for his ability to fit vast quantities of carpet to such a consistently high standard, his talents are often requested to create the perfect finish.

Luke Clayton
Luke’s very personable character and youthful exuberance shines through for the rest of the team. Trained by Steve and his high exacting standards, Luke has the same attention to detail for flooring installation and customer services, Luke has now been full time with us for 6 years and is a massive asset moving the family business, that he will one day head up, forward into the future.
Fitter
Russell Ford
Heading up our measure and planning team, Russell’s 15 years experience is invaluable when creating cutting plans to be as least wasteful as possible to keep your costs down. He likes nothing better than a challenging 18 century stairs and landing to get his grey matter working. Russell is also naturally great with interior concepts for our Home Selection Service Appointments.
